PALS Provider Course

 

THIS CLASS IS A TWO DAY CLASS.  YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS TO RECEIVE CERIFICATION.

The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients.  The goal of the course is to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with emergencies by using high-performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills.

The course is taught using the 2015 guidelines.  Books can be purchased online through Amazon or other booksellers.  Registration is required. Fees apply.

You should complete the pre-course assessment on the AHA PALS student website before the PALS provider course. You should print out your certificate and bring it with you to the class.

Because the PALS provider course does not teach algorithms, ECG recognition, pharmacology, or BLS skills, use the pre-course assessment to identify any deficiencies in your knowledge of these topics.
